Saw this somewhere in the blogosphere and had to share… an innovative company called Reestore out of the UK takes everyday items and gives them new life. The Max sofa is my favorite:
Old clawfoots are sitting in yards and basements all across Upstate New York. Why not have a refinisher go crazy and alter it into a couch for you? With a decent cushion on the bottom and WAY more pillows, I think it could be comfy. And much more stylish than a bathtub Madonna.
They also have a shopping cart chair if you’re into the industrial look!

Thanks for sharring. Look them interested and industrial look also, a little funny. Personally, I think so many people will have the feeling as me when they see these photoes. Maybe they will become a modern furniture on selling or buyer’s market.
That is a fun idea! I wish they were more common around this area, because another use for them is in the garden as a little hot tub. I always thought that would be fun… too small for two people though, but fun.
Ooooh, that’s so cool!
I love the shopping cart and I thought I had seen the tub somewhere before and then it dawned on me. It was Holly’s couch in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” in 1961. Her apartment was tres chic!

Patricia – good catch! Now we know where they get their inspiration.
omg the tub sooo cool and the pic of “holly’s sofa” . ive always loved the old metal cribs turned into love seats.wine barrel furniture ect
so mindy a while back you were working on elim drafts in your house well .ive got at least 21 windows 1 st floor , so had some cool fleece throws threw over tension rods in mud room. looks very mountain cabin. now im going to stain wood knobs same color as my woodwork[afix with double screws] hang quilts with clip rings over my front windows. that side of house is always much cooler. its jan and we havent even turned on our propane heater yet!
Wow that’s really showing some ingenuity! I would have never thought of creating a couch out of a bath tub or a seat out of a trolley.
I agree, the bath tub needs way more cushions…
We love to hear from you, dear readers.
