House voyeurism at it’s best

Inspiration, Photo Gallery

You may remember this pink and purple gingerbread Victorian from the neighborhood tour I posted a while back. It’s one of my favorites in town because of the incredible attention to detail. Everything about the exterior echoes certain design elements, right down to the flower trellises. It’s on the market now – the man who restored it passed away. I can’t help but hope that the next owner measures up to the last, and shares a passion for saving a bit of history. had photos of the house, which of course I checked out the minute I saw the For Sale sign. But now they’ve done one better and posted 360-degree tours of various rooms in the house (including the kitchen!) – you can see them here.

Great link! Next best thing to touring the house yourself!

All that house for less than $60 sf? Wow! Hmmm, at that price I’d be afraid of “just anybody” buying it! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it goes to a great owner. Hope it helps that it’s on the national registry.

That is a most amazing house, especially for $189,000.

I heard that Barb Stahl is building a house where she lived before coming to the Oneida area. One more convenient. This one was her husband’s “baby”. Aunt Sue

My favorite house in our town is for sale, and I’m so worried about someone coming in and messing it up. Yet I want someone to come take care of it. Fortunately, the owner of the house is very picky about who he’ll sell it to.

We love to hear from you, dear readers.
