How to spot a fixer-upper

You can always tell when we’ve been working on the house, despite our best efforts to clean ourselves up.

Dressing the dogs up in funny hats and laughing uncontrollably while they wince in embarrasment is one of our Christmas traditions. That’s Bruiser in the Santa hat – here’s Nero in his penguin getup, lest he feel left out.

Awww, what a pretty little penguin and Santa. We tried putting a Santa hat on our cats last year … hmmm, cats are less cooperative than dogs, I’d say.

When I was in high school we had a pair of Silky Terriers (brother and sister) that we would dress up in our doll clothes. Actually, we would cross dress them – Toby in the girl clothes and Sophi in the boy clothes! Trust me, it matched their personalities better that way.
